About Me & My Gang

Lets Just Go for it, is a blog that I wanted to create and share, to not only help me on this journey but to talk to you about our travelling experience and, hopefully, help you out along the way as well. I want to be able to tell you all about my thoughts, good and bad, our day to day lives and, I'm sure, challenges that we are going to face. But my main goal of this blog is to let you, who are in the same boat starting out, know that it's okay and that you've got this as long as you've got your team! And also that it is completely normal to wonder and think you're crazy for doing something like this! I mean, it is totally crazy but you only live once, right?!

Anyway, let me introduce myself and my gang. My name is Abii, I am 33 years old, still 21 in my mind but my aching bones feel like they belong to a 90 year old! 🥴 I am a Mom and a partner, of 17 years, (medal to me please😅) to Michael who is 34 and Tyler who has not long turned 8, but acts like he has just turned 18 (I'm sure there's parents who can relate!!) We also have 2, adorable, fur babies called Max who is a big cuddly Beagle and Robin who is the most loving, cuddliest little pup. We don't actually know his actual breed, we rescued him from Cyprus 3 years ago. We think though, that he is crossed between a lab and a whippet (could be totally wrong but that is what he looks like 😆) .

Michael is currently an "Operations Manager" for a fire and safety company and I'm an Early Years Practitioner working with 2-4 year olds. Aren't they the best?! (i say this with no eye twitch at all, i promise!!) Tyler is just about to start Year 4. I still to this day cannot believe how fast the time has gone, his baby years have just flown by. Which is why, coming to this crazy decision has become easier for me to start this journey. Time is precious and we want to start enjoying every minute of it! We're tired of the 9-5 life now, there has to be more to life then just living to pay our bills and getting by each day.

As a family, we love and enjoy the great outdoors. I feel like we thrive more as a family out in the fresh air, free and not confined to our 4 walls at home going crazy and being bored! The dogs are always in their element, they love to just run free around the big fields and we also love chasing Max, who decides as and when he can hear us, (if you have a beagle then you know about the selective hearing) around said field to get him back!! What fun!! 🙄😂 

So, in a nutshell, that is me and my family and to be totally honest with you, travelling with all 5 of us scares the living **** out of me but it will be an adventure and isn't that what life about after all!?
